Prospect Refuge Studio is an award-winning, full-service, interior design studio offering bespoke and turn-key residential and commercial design services. We are a small, collaborative team of creatives dedicated to developing hospitality brands, commercial spaces and residential interiors for a national client base.  Our studio is based in SW Minneapolis.

Prospect Refuge Studio is seeking a highly creative, self motivated, energized Senior Designer to join our close knit team. You’re passionate about making change and have the ability to focus on the small things while keeping an eye on the greater goals. This position is responsible for all aspects of the design process from consultation to installation, managing project budgets & timelines, and maintaining good client and vendor relationships. Job description

  • Production of full specification documentation and drawings through to completion on site 

  • Managing overall FF&E project budgets

  • Working with vendors and fabricators to design, source, obtain quotes, order samples and track orders

  • Managing procurement and delivering programs/schedules

  • Creating and issuing instructions to manufacturers and sub-contractors

  • Proactively identifying and escalating risks to FF&E team, where relevant, whilst operating in compliance with ethical practices

  • Ensuring quality control/quality assurance

  • Adopting best practice standards, technology solutions and process across projects

  • Developing and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of FF&E, materials trends and new vendors both locally and nationally


  • BFA, BA, or BS in Interior Design, Architecture or similar arts-based degree

  • Recent and relevant industry experience of at least three to five years

  • Experience in producing fully detailed construction drawing sets and plans

  • Experience in producing fully detailed materials and FF&E specifications that comply with local regulations

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Self-starter mentality with the initiative to jump in where needed

  • Work well independently as well as part of a team

  • Comfortable working on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Keynote, Google Suite

  • Proficiency in hand-drafting and rendering preferred

  • Allied or Associate ASID membership desirable but not required

  • Experience with Ivy desirable but not required

  • Must own and have sole access to a reliable car

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
